WiTricity is seeking a Firmware Test Engineer to develop and maintain infrastructure for embedded software testing for embedded control of WiTricity's Wireless Charging Electric Vehicle Solutions. You will collaborate with firmware test and design engineers to provide support of system test and verification.

Qualified candidates will have a solid understanding of the embedded software development process with demonstrated experience in test. The position will be based out of our Watertown, MA headquarters.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure for embedded software testing for the functionality of next generation systems.
  • Write and conduct tests on new embedded software features and publications.
  • Work collaboratively with firmware team members and team members of other disciplines to integrate, test, and debug system components.
  • Support existing embedded software designs and provide hands-on support of system test and verification.
  • Write test plans, conduct tests, and complete test reports on new embedded software features and publications.
  • Use source control systems in place at WiTricity for the maintenance of the code base and to provide proper revision control and release structure.
  • Provide maintenance, support, and development of version control and source code configuration management.
  • Responsible for software release process and continuous integration.
  • Work collaboratively with firmware team members and team members of other disciplines to integrate, test, and debug system components.
  • Be able to multi-task and independently manage the requirements of several projects in parallel.

Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of post-graduate embedded programming design or test experience.
  • Fluent in C/C++, Python, Bash and Batch scripting.
  • Solid knowledge about continuous integration tool chain: Jenkins, Artifactory, Parasoft, Ceedling Test, etc.
  • Strong experience with development tools: Raspberry Pi, Arduino.
  • Proficient with microcontroller IDE design/development tools.
  • Proficient in lab debug, including usage of power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators and in-circuit debuggers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Energetically active with a sense of urgency and individual accountability, can work independently, and be a reliable team player.

Desired Skills:
  • Proficient with microcontroller IDE design/development tools.
  • Experienced with version control software: SVN, GIT, etc
  • Ability to follow circuit schematics and PCB layout drawings.
  • Understanding of basic communication protocols.
