We are seeking an Applications Engineer to support our customers in developing and deploying WiTricity's wireless power systems. The position will be based at our Mägenwil location in Switzerland. Candidates must demonstrate fluency in German and English.

Responsibilities:
  • Customer Support
    • Provide pre and post-sales technical consultation on WiTricity’s EV Wireless Charging Product and Reference Design to automotive OEMs, Tier 1s, Fleet Operators, and EV Charging Service Providers.
    • Establish and maintain strong lines of communication between WiTricity and our customers at the engineering and technical management level.
    • Provide hardware and software technical support to automotive OEM customers to implement the WiTricity developed product.
    • Provide technical and sales support to Charging Operators and EV Fleet Operators utilizing WiTricity’s Standard’s-based Wireless Charging Product seeking to deploy wireless charging solutions and services.
  • Product Integration
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate WiTricity’s EV Wireless Charging Product, ensuring seamless compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Testing and Validation
    • Conduct thorough testing and validation of WiTricity’s EV Wireless Charging Product, identifying and resolving technical issues to meet performance and safety standards.
  • Documentation
    • Create comprehensive technical documentation, including application notes, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals, to assist customers in the successful implementation of wireless charging solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Work closely with WiTricity’s US, Europe, Oceania and Asia Product Development teams, Product Management, R&D, Operations, and Sales to improve products, cultivate new business, stay current with technology, and provide regional feedback.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (German and English), with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with customers in a technical environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in an Electrical Engineering lab including experience with Oscilloscopes, Soldering, and other test equipment.
  • Proficiency in testing and validation methodologies.
  • Experience with industry standards and certifications related to wireless charging is a plus.
  • Experience with Power Electronics and electromagnetics is a plus.
  • Experience in Automotive industry (OEM, Tier1, or Tier2) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment and work on multiple concurrent projects.
  • 25 – 50% travel across Europe, US, and Asia.
