We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to develop and execute testing on WiTricity’s Electric Vehicle (EV) wireless charging products. The position will be based at our Mägenwil location in Switzerland. Candidates must demonstrate fluency in English. Fluency in German is a plus.

Experience:

  • Testing products in the automotive, industrial, or consumer markets.
  • Developing and executing test plans on products comprised of mechanical, electrical, and software content.
  • UL, FCC, and CE compliance testing.
  • Interfacing with product management and product engineering to ensure requirements are validated and performance and quality goals are achieved.
  • Collaboration with external and internal partners to execute safety, regulatory and environmental tests.
  • Working independently in a fast paced, highly technical environment with concurrent projects.
                        
Responsibilities:
  • Defines and develops test plans for EV Wireless Charging Products and sub-components including:
    • Wallbox equipment with connections to the electrical grid, Wireless Charing Pad, and Cloud
    • Wireless Charging Ground Pad including safety and position alignment systems
    • User experience (UI) and installation on-boarding process
  • Test includes specifying and executing
    • Functional, Performance, Environmental, Safety, and Compliance Testing
    • Interoperability Testing against ISO, IEC, SAE and other Wireless Power Standards
    • Mechanical Stress & Vibration, Dust and Water (IP), Temperature & Humidity
  • Test automation
    • Design of automated test setup to perform systematic functional and performance tests
  • Supporting, duplicating, and troubleshooting field problems
  • Ensures bug tracking database is maintained. Generates reports and status.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:
  • Technical degree required. BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience performing QA and testing on products consisting of electrical, software, and mechanical content
  • Demonstrated ability to write and execute detailed test plans; must be able to compile and report to management and other team members on findings
  • Proficiency in writing test scripts in LabVIEW or Python
  • Proficiency with rapid prototyping, 3D printer, PCB prototyping, Altium
  • Experience with bug tracking systems such as JIRA required
  • Experience with quality process such as ISO9000 preferred
  • Must be able to work effectively with cross-functional, global team members from design and development, product management, and customer support.
  • Must be hands-on in and comfortable in a product lab environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
